Kenneth Alvin Grigg

Kenneth Alvin Grigg – a 79 year-old native of Lincolnton, NC and resident of Eight Mile, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Mr. Grigg retired from the Pipefitter’s Union Local 669 after more than 50 years of service. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army and was an avid hunter. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Grigg was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Hilda E. Grigg, and daughter, Cindy Pugh. He is survived by two daughters, Janie Chestang (Eddie) and Penny Straughn (Steve); sister, Pearl Martin (Harold); grandchildren, Daniel Mosley (Leigh), Neal Mosley (Nadine), K.C. Straughn (Barbara), Rachel Straughn, and Kevin Pugh (Mandy); nine great-grandchildren; dear friend, Peggy Tatum; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour.
