Kenneth M. Stokes Sr.

Kenneth M. Stokes, Sr. - a native of Andalusia, Alabama and resident of Satsuma for the past 40 years passed away Thursday February 9, 2012, in a local hospital. He retired from UOP as a project manager after 34 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Stokes was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eula C. and Judson Brooks Stokes and Gordon Pruitt and his brother, Dennis B. Stokes. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Maisie G. Stokes; his children, Missy S. (David) Moody of Birmingham, AL, Kenneth M. "Mack" (Bronica G.) Stokes, Jr., of Saraland, AL; his grandchildren, Dawson Moody, McKay Moody, McCaul Stokes and Dane Moody; his siblings, Peggy Smith and Diane Tucker both of Pensacola, FL., Fred Pruitt of Jacksonville, FL, Lacey Thomas of Rochester, NY and Sherry Adams of Fort Worth, TX; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Mae Greer, Sue and Charles Gilbert, Gerri and Jim Cruthierds, Bruce Greer, John H, Greer, Joe and Liz Greer, and Dean and Sandi Heathcoe; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 12noon till 2 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home Saraland with funeral services following at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
