Leroy Andrew Smith Sr.

Leroy Andrew Smith, Sr. – beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a 76 year-old native of Old Texas, AL and resident of Satsuma passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Mr. Smith retired from U-J Chevrolet as a parts advisor after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the Alabama Army National Guard and was a lifelong NASCAR follower and avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Smith. He is survived by his children, Leroy A. Smith, Jr. (Vickie), Lynda Hart (John), Steve Smith (Tammy), and Mark Smith; siblings, Allen Smith (Joan), Coralie Busby (Ed), and Gerry Smith (Cindy); nine grandchildren: Laticia (Allen), Hannah (Brent), Kenny, Colby (Billie), Johnathan, Alex, Zackary, Doug, and Jackie (Trey); five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, October 21, 2016, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, 2500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
