Mrs. Martha Rae Mosley Westbrook, age 82, of Satsuma, AL, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She was born September 27, 1942, in Waynesboro, MS, a daughter of the late James Mosley and Zora Mosley.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Woodie S. Westbrook and her sister, Connie Sanders.
Martha was a Vigor High School Wolfette and worked at Dairy Queen in high school. Her senior year she met my Dad, Sam Westbrook, and dated a year before getting married and having three girls. He passed away in 2004, but in his biography, he stated that he was undecided about going to college and what he would major in, but “there was no indecision about her”. Their love for each other was tremendous! I know all three of us are honored to be their children.
She was a member of Generations Church in Satsuma and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting and spending time with her family.
Martha is survived by three daughters, Tina (Tony) Nelson, Pam Dyar (Danny Garner), and Dana (Scott) Blair; four grandchildren, James Whatley Jr., Rebecca Gintoft, Sage Dyar, and Ian Blair; two great grandchildren, Jackson Mercer and Charlie Gintoft; and one sister, Ann Walters of Vicksburg, MS.
All services are Saturday morning, March 1, 2025 at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation is at 9 am, funeral service at 10 am, and graveside in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Martha’s family will serve as pallbearers.
