Mary Agnes Burt

Mrs. Mary Agnes Cranford Burt, age 91, a native of Monroe County, Alabama, a resident of Chickasaw, AL for fifty plus years, currently residing in Mobile, Alabama, died on February 22, 2025. She was a longtime member of West Chickasaw Baptist Church. Mrs. Burt was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Billy F. Burt, her mother, Minnie Mae Stringer, son-in-law, Richard “Ric” Joseph Oates, and granddaughter Lee Ann Burt Benbow. She is survived by her children, James R. (Tomi) Burt, Carol Burt Oates (Alan Breland), William F. (Gina) Burt; her grandchildren, James R. Burt, Jr. (Jodi), Jason Burt Golden (Victoria), Thomas Burt and Tiffany Burt; her great-grandchildren Payton Gatto, David Benbow, Michaela Gatto, Connor Frederick Golden and Avery Catherine Golden and many special friends and family members. She enjoyed family get-togethers and always loved spending time with family and friends.

In her early years she loved to read and cross-stitch. She also enjoyed working word search puzzles and watching beautiful birds. Mrs. Burt was a beloved wife, mother and MawMaw. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Bermuda Community Cemetery, Bermuda, AL. The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to all of her caregivers at Crowne Healthcare of Springhill for all of their dedication, care and love. A special thanks to Springhill Hospice of Mobile, and also, a special thanks to Homebound Ministry of First Baptist Church Tillman's Corner and Rev. Mark Griffin.
