Mary Ruth Godwin, 86, of Saraland, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Mary completely devoted her life and love to her family. She was a lover of flowers, and spent a great deal of her time tending to her flower gardens. Mary also had her precious cat, Blackie, who never left her side.
Mary is survived by five children, Glenda Faye Godwin, Doris (Larry) Maxwell, Barbara (Timothy) Davis, Mary (Tim) Stevens, and Pam (Bobby) Sasser; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Icie Loyer, Aulcy Virginia Bachelor, and Beatrice Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Hollis Godwin; two children, Sue Todd and Tony Godwin; and siblings, Eva Berry, Dee Davis and Dolphus Davis.
