Mary was born July 7, 1932 in Brewton, AL to Hazel C. Gilmore and Emmet L. Gilmore. She was a graduate of Murphy High School. She worked for Courtaulds Fiber for 32 years up until her retirement. She set a tremendous example of faith, love and strength of character, and was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her daughter; Pamela Mason, granddaughter; Summer Huff (Jason), two great grandchildren; Cole and Rylee Claire Huff; and many other family and friends that will miss Mary deeply.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Hazel and Emmet Gilmore, sister; Trutie Scroggins, and Bill Riley.
Visitation will be held from 10am to the 12pm funeral hour on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Creola Community Church. There will be a graveside service immediately following the funeral at Whistler Annex Cemetery in Whistler,AL.
