Mary Janette Herring Strickland born October 02, 1920 in Millry, AL and a resident of Satsuma AL. for 61 years passed away Saturday May 2, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Strickland, her parents Thomas Samuel and Maude M. Davidson, her sister Helen M. Johnston, brothers: Samuel M. Herring and Percy A. Herring. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte A. Strickland of Satsuma, sister-in-law Irene Herring of Mt. Vernon AL ., nieces: Dorothy M. Platt of McIntosh, AL., Frances Darrough and Joyce Rios of California; nephews Jimmy Herring and Michael Herring of Mt. Vernon, AL. and Robert Herring of Citronelle; great nieces: Marsha Stiltner (Bob) of McIntosh, AL. Mary Walls of Vallejo CA., Kay Sanford of Ellisville, MS. and other family members. Her friends: Mildred Golemon, Mary Wheat, Angie Walley and Wanda Rowell. The family wants to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice: Ashley Hall, Parita Burns, Lauren Wells, Rorie Walher, Torey Jenkins and Tracey Henderson. The family will welcome friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday May 5, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a graveside service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. following the visitation.
