Minnie Lou Hudson – a native of McVay, AL and resident of Saraland, AL died peacefully Friday, June 7, 2013 in a local health care facility. Ms. Hudson, who was affectionately known as “LuLu’ to family and friends, was of Irish-Indian descent. She came from a generation that endured a depression and World War and was born with a strong work ethic. Hard times were spent in the cotton fields of McVay, AL just north of Jackson with her brothers and a sister. “LuLu” had a quick Irish wit and was known as one of the best cooks around. She never met a stranger. Ms. Hudson was the Matriarch of five generations and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff of Springhill Senior Residence and a special thank you to Erica Davis and Miketa Robertson. Funeral services will be Monday, June 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
