Buck was born on July 3rd 1928 in Denko, Mississippi. He served as a Merchant Seaman and retired after 35 years from Alabama Dry Docks as a Welder.
Buck was known by his family, friends and community to be a very giving, caring, loving family man always offering a helping hand to anyone in need with his wisdom and love. He loved to fish, hunt and watch Alabama Football. He enjoyed all things in carpentry and gardening, but above all else he guided his family with committed love and faith in the Lord.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Offie and Molly Carr; his brother, Oscar Carr; his three sons, Charlie, Eddie and Robert Carr; granddaughters, Ashley and Kristin Tice; one great granddaughter, Carrmen Maxwell and a son-in-law, Norman Parmer.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 73 years, Helen; three daughters, Debra McLaughlin (Henry), Margie Roach (Billy) and Helen Parmer; one brother, Archie Carr and one sister, Lena Miller; he was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 17 great - grandchildren and 12 great - great grandchildren; also, survived by other relatives, family and friends.
Buck lived a full life sharing love, laughter, wisdom and knowledge with all who came to know him.
Visitation for Buck will be held at Radney Funeral Home - Saraland on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Donnie Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in Allentown Cemetery, Semmes, Alabama.
