Paul Lyn Martin, 85, was born on January 8, 1936, in Sardis, Tennessee, to the late Claude and Fern Zola Holley Martin. Called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; Paul passed on December 6, 2021, in the comfort of home with his devoted daughters by his side until the end holding his hands and praying. Paul loved camping, boating, and always cherished the time spent with family. His daughters would say his accomplishments would be their upbringing. Paul was an automatic transmission specialist for fifty plus years and always took great pride in the honest and valued services he provided through the years.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Trudy Martin; three brothers: Tommy Martin, Jimmy Martin, Claude Martin; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Peters.
Left to cherish Paul’s wonderful memories will be his two daughters: Paula L. White and husband James L., Deborah M. Mills and husband Mike; three brothers: Gerald Martin and wife Marie, Johnny “Ward” Martin, Wayland Martin and wife Sarah; two sisters-in-law: Willie Martin, Jerry Martin; one brother-in-law, Arthur Paul Peters; along with many extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.
Honoring Paul as pallbearers will be Johnny Martin, Wayland Martin, Paul Peters, Jr., Rodger Green, Josh Peters, Johnny Holley, and Jason Martin.
Expressions of gratitude are being extended to the staff of Mobile Infirmary, the staff of Kindred Hospice, Mike, James, Paula, Deborah and friends for the professional care, compassion, support, visits, prayers and condolences during this great time of need.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571. A celebration of life service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 10, 2021, at Radney’s with Pastor Kenny Stevens, and Bro. Wayland Martin officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, 10000 Celeste Road, Saraland, Alabama 36571.
