

Mr. Rault Henry Edmonds, Jr. died surrounded by his wife and children in Mobile, AL on June 10, 2017 at the age of 71. Rault was a native of Chickasaw, AL and graduated from Citronelle High School in 1966. In August of that same year, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia. He served in the US Army, 61st Group, 41st Signal Battalion, from 1966 to 1968 and was stationed in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. Following his tenure in the service, he and Pat began a life together in Smithtown, AL. In 1974 he established Edmonds Contracting, Inc., a utility support company, working with the Southern Company for more than 40 years.
Rault is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of 50 years, their children, Rault H. Edmonds, III (Dawn), William M. Edmonds (Lydia), and Jim A. Edmonds (Lauren), and their grandchildren Katlyn (Rault), William and John Rault (Will), and Jackson and Maddox (Jim). He is also survived by his sisters; Bobbie Craft (Ken), Jackie Drude (John), and Phyllis Crews (Wallace), brothers; Tommy Edmonds (Renee) and Michael Edmonds (Beverly), aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends that he loved dearly.
Rault was preceded in death by his parents Rault and Helen Edmonds, his brother, Sidney Edmonds, brothers-in-law William Orr, John Orr, and Butch Brown, and nephews , Steven Craft, Adam Brown, and Sid Edmonds.
Rault leaves a legacy of Christian love, kindness, peace, charm, humility, selflessness, and absolute joy.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Edmonds Cemetery, Citronelle, AL.
