Born in Mobile, Alabama, on October 6, 1961, Robert brought a quiet strength, sharp intellect, and generous heart to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
He was the cherished son of William C. and Mary Harrison, and a beloved brother and uncle who found deep joy in spending time with his family-especially hiking, traveling, and sharing adventures with his nieces and nephews. Robert’s warmth, patience, and love of learning touched countless lives over the years.
A proud graduate of C.F. Vigor High School, Class of 1980, Robert later pursued his passion for engineering, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2003. But it was in education where he found his true calling. He returned to school to obtain his master’s degree in teaching and went on to dedicate 19 years of his life to teaching at Fairhope High School.
As a math teacher, mentor, and coach of the school’s robotics, chess, and ping-pong clubs, Robert inspired students both inside and outside the classroom. His dedication to curiosity, problem-solving, and student growth left a lasting legacy. He made learning accessible, fun, and meaningful, and his impact will be felt for generations.
Robert is survived by his parents; William C. and Mary L. Harrison, Siblings; Teresa L. Eiland (Bruce), Deborah R. Holder (David), Patricia D. McDaniel (Scott), Kenneth R. Harrison (Leah) and cherished Nieces and Nephews.
