

Ronald E. Gatlin – born August 23, 1946, in Century, FL, passed away on January 15, 2018 in Satsuma, AL. Mr. Gatlin was the youngest of nine children of the late Mr. & Mrs. G.W. Gatlin. He is survived by his wife, Donna L. Gatlin; son, Matthew M. Gatlin; four sisters, Dolly, Betty, Irma, and Syble; and brother, Mickey. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gayle, and a sister, Ginnie. The Gatlin Military Service obligation was met by George W. Gatlin, who served in the U.S. Army during WWI, James E. Gatlin, who served in the U.S. Marines during WWII, Gayle G. Gatlin, who served in the U.S. National Guard, Mickey M. Gatlin, who served in the U.S. Army Reserve, and Ronald E. Gatlin, who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the 12 p.m. chapel funeral service. Interment will follow in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
