Ruth G. Shepherd – a longtime resident of Chickasaw passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson V. Shepherd. Mrs. Shepherd is survived by her children, Mary Rickles and Lawson V. Shepherd, Jr. (Connie); 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great, great-grandchildren, a sister, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Chickasaw United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour.
