Shelby V. McAdams, age 83, of Saraland, Alabama was welcomed by his Heavenly Father on Thanksgiving day, November 26, 2020. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Columbus, MS. to Dodson Mayo and Ruble Rye McAdams. He grew up in Satsuma and served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for 22 years and in the Viet Nam War. His passion was his family and he was loved by many.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Inge Erika McAdams. He is also survived by his two daughters; Denise McAdams and Phyllis (Wendell) Brown; three grandsons; Timothy (Courtney) Garner, Nicholas Garner and Roman Brown. Three great grandchildren; Nolan Garner, Barrett Garner and Scarlett Strobel. His brothers; James (Connie) Swartz, Bill (Karen) Swartz, Roy Swartz. Sisters; Callie Swartz, Wanda (Tim) Glover and devoted sister-in-law Linda McAdams. Devoted nephews, Michael (Laryssa) McAdams and Kyle McAdams, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and family.Preceded in death by beloved grandson, Tyler McAdams, beloved brother and best friend Sherrell McAdams and sister Victoria Ruth Algoe.
