Suzanne Byrd Russell – a native of Mobile, AL and resident of Chickasaw and Alexander City, AL died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at home. She worked as a high school teacher with the Mobile County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peyton Russell; and parents, June and Ross Byrd. Survivors include four children, Stephanie (Jerome) Andrews, Peyton Lee Russell, Emily Suzanne Russell and Jackson Russell; three siblings who adored her, Kathye Unger, Bryant Byrd and Hope Byrd; two grandchildren, Zoe Noel and William Andrews; two nephews, David and Ross Byrd; many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
