Vera Brown Davis

Vera Brown Davis - an 83 old native of Russellville, AL and longtime resident of Chickasaw passed away Friday, November 1, 2013. Mrs. Davis was a lifelong member of Wilson Avenue Baptist Church where she worked in the daycare and served as Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jerome Brown and Lula Elizabeth Freeman Brown, and husband, Jeff Davis. Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Dianne McWain (Roger Prewett) and Patti Lee (Jeff); grandchildren, Whitney McWain Saunders (Charlie), Catherine McWain (Eldon Stegall), Matthew McWain, Phillip Lee, and Jordan Lee; great-grandchildren, Bennett Saunders and Reid Saunders; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, November 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the service hour.
