Voncile L. Watson, age 82, a resident of Theodore, left to be in the arms of our Heavenly Father Monday, October 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Narvie L. Watson. She is survived by her sons; Jerry F.L. Thomas (Virgie), Ronald B. Thomas (Ron High), Sammy D. Thomas (Roxanne), Terry Thomas, David W. Thomas (Pam), daughter; Deborah Thomas Shell (Roger) and two step-daughters, Pam Hoy (John) and Cindy Matthews (Tommy), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and meritorious grandchild, Joseph Cherry. Cile was a graduate of Murphy High School located in Mobile. Following high school she was employed at local department stores where she developed her special skills; clothing coordinator, make-up artist and her knack for making people feel special! When she was not at work, she was in her kitchen baking. She loved to cook and would often research the cookbooks to create masterfully a special dish for her family. She enjoyed sharing and exchanging recipes with family, friends, and new acquaintances because she never met a stranger. She enjoyed meaningful road trips with her family. The countless poses for pictures and laughter shared were the fondest of memories. Among some of her many accomplishments were those recognized by Mary Kaye Cosmetics. She was awarded a trip to Texas in her honor as "Salesperson of The Year". This was her first trip on an airplane that made it even more special to her. She loved to shop at various types of clothing stores to catch the latest fashions. She was known to be a "sharp dresser and was in the Nine". She was influenced by her uncompromising faith in God and desire to do the right thing. She loved peace and harmony. When she looked upon a butterfly it reminded her of the simplicity of life and a free spirit just exactly how God meant it to be. She cherished her life with her husband and best friend, Narvie. Their last road trip together was to visit Ormond Beach and Orlando. Where they laughed, ate, held hands, and walked on the beach. During the course of their marriage; love, faith, and hope overshadowed all obstacles until God called them home. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to all God’s Angels with Gentiva Hospice of Mobile who cared for her over the years. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.RadneyFuneralHome-Saraland.com for the Watson family.
