Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL, followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Wanda was born on July 9, 1951, in Bremerton, WA. After moving to Mobile, she graduated from Vigor High School in 1969. On February 24, 1970, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Daniel Bruce Owen, Sr. Together they built a life marked by devotion, faith, and love.
A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Wanda delighted in caring for her family. She found joy in cooking, supporting her children and grandchildren in their many pursuits, and spending time outdoors with her husband. Above all, her life was defined by service - to her family, her community, and her church. She lived out the words of Jesus: “The greatest among you will be your servant.”
Wanda faithfully served the local church, most recently as church secretary, continuing in her ministry until the Lord called her home. Despite enduring significant health challenges, she never complained. Instead, she chose to encourage others, offering prayer, compassion, and hope—always pointing back to the grace of her Savior, Jesus.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Daniel Bruce Owen, Sr.; her children, April Graham (George), Daniel Owen (Julia), and Stefanie Weaver (Patrick); and her nine treasured grandchildren: Caylee, Owen, Brad, Taylor, Emma, Lola, Huey, Riley, and Ace. She is also survived by her siblings: Cheryl Horton (Gary), Nancy Williams (Dwight), and Walter Riley (Kim).
Wanda’s legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Radney Funeral Home (Saraland, AL) on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate her life and faith.
