Warren Lester Baker Sr.

Warren L. Baker, Sr. was preceded in his Heavenly journey by his wife Eberlean Adcock Baker. He served his country faithfully with honor. He joined the USN June 17, 1944 and left the USN July 19, 1946. He joined the USAF on Aug. 25, 1947 and retired April 9, 1965, serving this country for 21 years. He then joined the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department in 1965 and advanced to Criminal Investigator before retiring there in 1989 with 24 years of service. He was an active member and supporter and Grace United Methodist Church until his sickness in 2011. He loved his church. Mr. Baker leaves behind two sons, Warren L. Baker Jr. (Nancy) of Killen, AL, and Warren Keith Baker (Judy) of Chatom, AL; one daughter, Pamela Jean Baker of Chatom, AL; one devoted niece, Cindy Bedsole Beck of Mobile, AL; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way. The family asks in lieu of flowers you make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Cancer Unit. Funeral services will be Monday, January 12, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
