
William Elwood Lott – age 90, passed away August 24, 2011. Mr. Lott was a native of Gulfcrest, Alabama, and longtime resident of Chickasaw, Alabama. He was a decorated WWII veteran and retired Civil Service employee. He was a Director, Deacon, and Sunday school teacher at Chickasaw First Baptist Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Eva Lott; and brother, Charles Lott. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ferra Lorraine Lott; two children, Tina Lott (Bill) Moore and Ronald E. (Gail) Lott; one sister, Mary Lott Powell; six grandchildren, Deedee Moore (Colin) Womack, Charles Daniel (Jennifer) Moore, Dawn Moore (Jeff) Brewer, Hank (Traci) Lott, Ronald Jason (Brenda) Lott and Jim M. (Aubrey) Lott; five great-grandchildren, Cooper Moore, Breanna, Zander and Gunner Lott, and Taylor Byrd; many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Gulf Crest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Hank Lott, Jason Lott, Jim Lott, Dan Moore, Jeff Brewer and Colin Womack. Honorary pallbearers are members of Mr. Lott’s Berean Sunday School Class: Ed Baxley, Doyal Scott, George Dixon, Allen Dumas, Bailey Jones, Sammie Lee, Henry Phillips, John Shelley, Billy Stone and Johnnie Welch.
