William Alanzo Skidmore

William Alanzo Skidmore departed this life surrounded by his loved ones May 25, 2022. Billy was born on October 26, 1953, in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating from Satsuma High School in 1972, he worked as an insurance salesman for most of his life until retirement. He loved old cars, playing golf and being a Pawpaw to his 9 grandchildren. He especially loved cheering on his grandchildren at sporting events. He was their number one fan. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Charles William Skidmore and Zula Elizabeth Skidmore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sheila Vick Skidmore; son, Josh (Cassie) Skidmore; son, Jake (Kelli) Skidmore; daughter, Sarah (Rob) Wallace; grandchildren, Logan, Kaylee, and Jax Skidmore, Graci, Caroline, and Claire Skidmore, and Karley, Sarah Kayte, and Harper Wallace; two sisters, Mary (Bruce) Brown and Tammy (Rickey) Foster; and a host of other dear family and friends.

A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at Creola First Baptist on Sunday, May 29, 2022. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. with a service immediately following.
