To the Lamot family. I have the absolute honor and pleasure of being around April for a few years at NVCC. The pure joy and light that she gave to this world is unmatched. Hours of laughter, memories that will last me a lifetime. Truly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was so easy to talk to and just a joy to be around. Everyone perked up when she was there. I can always say I had the privilege to be her friend and to call her my friend. My heart and prayers are with your whole family.

I remember when someone asked your name and you confidently said, “APPLE.” We chuckled at your cuteness, but you said it with such conviction. My April I’m going to miss you so much . You were the most Bubbly and Sweetest person I have ever known . Whenever I came to visit and you walked into any room the real party would start . The energy you kept was unbelievable. I’m going to miss your laughter and that beautiful smile . 
 April I remember when we went to your job at the Escape room . It was us against the teens . You helped us win . The kids really would have whipped us . ( they still don’t know ) That memory will stay with me .

Oh April my boo, it still doesn’t seem real. I keep checking our messages to see if it’s my turn in cup pong yet but it still says it’s your turn. There have been so many times over the past few weeks that I see something and think I should send it to you but then I remember……this just isn’t fair.  You were one of the few people who truly knew my heart and loved me unconditionally despite my many flaws. You were a true friend, always encouraging me, always there for me and will always be a bestie bitchacho forever. If there was one thing I could wish for, it would just be for more time…more time to spend with you, more time to get to do that escape room, more time to go sing karaoke, more time to go to Red Barn and sample dips, more time to just sit and laugh. Just more time…but I know I’ll see you again one day and until that time comes, please keep popping up in my memories, my dreams and my daily thoughts so I can replay all those wonderful moments we did have together over and over again.  I love you so much, my boo…until we meet again.

Thank you for growing up with me, thank you for showing me what true strength is, and thank you for all of the years of laughs. I’m so incredibly grateful that I got to spend the time with you that I did.

It’s hard not to see traces of you everywhere I look. You were a light in dark times and empathetic to your core. You saw the world for what it could be, and not for what it was, but most of all, you vibrated to your own beautiful rhythm. That rhythm was contagious and comforting.  It filled a room and it filled my heart. Thank you for letting me in and sharing your life with me, I’ll think about you and miss you forever.

Having aunts so close in age to me was the greatest gift life has given me. Being Aprils niece was definitely a privilege. She made life more vibrant and easy going. She lived life unapologetically which I will carry on and do myself in her honor. She made every visit an adventure whether we were driving to a nearby store singing or staying up late watching murder makeup mystery. There was never a dull moment despite how she was feeling physically, she made every memory a good time. Her and I shared a love for the arts and “because I knew you, my life has been changed for good” was a perfect song choice and musical because it captures how I feel to a t. My life has been changed for the better because of April. We had a lot in common and shared a bond I will forever cherish. She will be remembered by many for who she was, a perfect soul and person. To have known her was a gift and I will miss you for eternity. I love you Auntie April.

Memories are so many yet words cannot even truly express how much you are missed.  I check my snaps daily, waiting for something to come.  Full of life, full of color, full of joy, full of love. My heart aches yet I know you wouldn’t want it to. You’re probably yelling at me as I write this. I am deeply saddened to share in the grief of losing our April (Apples).  April was a beautiful spirit and a true blessing to our family, and she was a symbol of strength determination and resilience.  I don't know anyone who would've been able to fight as hard as she fought most of her life.   During Aprils last days April suffered and she still somehow managed to make us all smile...April was one in a million and her light shone brightly.  Her Love and kindness touched everyone who knew her.    I will always cherish the memories of our last conversation, and I can still hear her laughter and her voice and that will be a source of comfort as we go through this difficult time.  Bobby, Joyce, Bunny and Vanessa I am so so sorry..   I'm really gonna miss you April..

Auntie April!! Where to begin.... there are soooo many wonderful memories. The younger years are flashes of them.... from chasing crazy petey around in the basement, to sneaking into wellas room because we weren't supposed to be in there only to run out quickly when we would hear a noise. Then exploring the "forest" in your backyard thinking the neighbors house was haunted. Trying to see who could get down your long driveway first but never wanted to come back up. Then in the older years you dragging me out with you, lex and nessa to go karaoke (which i hated) or random bars. Late night beach strolls. Playing pool, or making us watch random movies or shows because you were so excited. Or just sitting outside talking about our parents driving us crazy haha. I will FOREVER miss you and your random video calls or messages. Your constant way to lighten the mood with just your presence alone. There will always be a piece missing now that your gone but you will never be forgotten. Keep watching down on us! I love you 💜💜

It still hurts to think about you not being here with us. I find myself going through your Facebook page just to look at your pictures and read all the messages from people whose lives you touched. You were so brave, and I don’t think you ever truly realized how deeply you were loved by everyone.

I’ll never forget our early years. I still remember your refrigerator in Mahopac covered with pictures of our cousins. Everyone thought being on that fridge meant you were one of the favorites, but really, it was just that some of our aunts and uncles never sent pics to your rents. If they had, Unc and Titi  would’ve proudly displayed theirs too, just like mine. I remember sitting with you at the table,  trying to name the missing cousins, and you’d just smile as I listed them off.

But my favorite memories are still those times in your basement, when we’d ride Petey like he was a horse, a towel looped around his neck while you held on tight. Sliding down the steps on Wella’s pillows…those were the best days. As we got older and I joined the Air Force, life took us in different directions, but you never changed. You stayed genuine, kind, and authentic.

Someday, I hope to be half as loved and admired as you. I can’t wait to see you again…only this time, you can show me around up there. Maybe we’ll ride real horses and slide down real hills. Miss you so much, kiddo.

April was one of the greatest people I had the honor of calling my friend. I’m so sad to say goodbye, but blessed to know I have her watching down. I have no bad memories of April and I’m so blessed to be able to say that. I love you April you will be missed so much. Rest in paradise my love.
