

Born on June 26, 1946, in Hinsdale, Illinois, Arthur was the son of the late Arthur R. Pietsch, Sr. and Betty Schofield Pietsch. He attended St. Martha’s Elementary School and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1964. While at Cardinal Mooney, he was a member of the basketball team and proudly held a school record. He worked for over 35 years for the United States Postal Service and, in his younger days, was the head cook at the original Oyster Bar.
Arthur had a lifelong passion for bowling, having earned a place in the 300 Game Men’s League. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gina Pietsch; his children, William Pietsch (Vanessa), Robert Pietsch (Deanna), and Amanda Henn (Cory); his grandchildren, Taylor and Travis Pietsch, Brooklyn and Kinsley Henn, and Porter and Paylin Pietsch; and his great-grandchildren, Rylin and Liam Pietsch. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Schulz (Jim) and Rhonda Pietsch.
In keeping with his wishes, Arthur will be cremated, and no formal service will be held.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Tidewell Hospice.
