Beatrice June Swanson

Bea came from a family of 11 children. She married Donald Swanson and raised 4 daughters. Bea returned to school and completed her degree in nursing. She worked at WCA Hospital in Jamestown NY, and after moving to Florida retired from Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She spent a good portion of her retired years volunteering at The Resurrection House.

Bea is survived by daughters, Valeri Davis (Mark) of Sanford, Florida, Joyce Milligan (Bill) of Sarasota, Florida, Donna Koel (Dave) of Port Charlotte Florida and Kathy Sparks (Carol) of Conover, North Carolina; brothers, Clayton Brown (Barbara) of Randolph NY, and Leone Brown (Janet) of Bloomfield, KY; sisters Althea Herrington (Walt) of Perrysburg, NY, and Selva Thompson (late Randy) of Westerville, OH; brother-in-law, Jack Silliman, and sister-in-law Carol Brown; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Donald; parents Garold and Doris; and siblings, Roberta Barber, Arbutus Ortolano, Arminta Taylor, Verlene Green, Nita Silliman, Oleta Brown and Harlow Brown.

A graveside services will be held for Bea on February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am, at Palms Memorial Park located at 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34232.
