Wood, 98, Dover, Del.,
formerly of Sarasota and
Coloma, Mich. died Aug.
28, 2010.
Visitation is from 11
a.m. to noon on Tuesday
at Palms-Robarts Funeral
Home in Sarasota.
Celebration of Life will
be immediately following
visitation at the funeral
home. Burial will
be in Sarasota Memorial
Park.
Survivors include her
daughters Rocky Bushweller,
and Carisse
Paquin; son Jack;
brother Kenneth
Woodward; 15 grandchildren;
25 greatgrandchildren;
and
seven great-greatgrandchildren.
Bea worked along side
her husband of 71 years,
William W. "Bill" Wood,
first running the family
farm in Coloma, Mich.
In 1945 they moved to
Sarasota where they
owned and operated the
highly popular Bea and
Bill's Happyland Restaurant
on Siesta Key
from 1948 to 1967. They
went on to manage the
Lake Naomi Club in Pocono
Pines, Pa. and later
spent many years lending
their time and talents
to the El Adobe
Restaurant in Sarasota.
