He was born on November 29, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Stephanie (Pieczonka) and Aloysius Joseph Mader.
Charles graduated from Taft High School in 1957 and attended Wright Jr. College. He proudly served in the United States Army for 2 years. He then started working for TWA Airlines in 1962 and worked every department leading to a promotion to Station Manager from 1982 – 1999 in several cities across the United States. Charles was a member of the Elks Club and enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading the daily newspaper. Those who knew Charles best would say he loved to spoil his grandchildren and he was always making people laugh.
Charles is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Christopher C. (Daria) Mader, and Eric J. (Danielle) Mader; his grandchildren, Halina, Nathan, Zoe, Daphne, and Jessica; and his brother, Alan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Robert and Ron.
Visitation for Charles will take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home; 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church; 3930 17th Street, Sarasota, FL 34235.
Interment will take place at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park.
