Cynthia Mary (Evon) Mulready

Cynthia Mary Mulready, age 62 of Sarasota, FL passed to eternal rest on September 11, 2016. She was born on June 22, 1954 in Waterbury Connecticut. Cynthia grew up in Naugatuck, Connecticut and Graduated in 1972 from Shelton High School. She worked as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager for Hydraulic Repair, AH Nilson Press, BH Goodrich, Charlton Press, and FutureShape. Cindy, aka Peanuts, aka Gama, had the biggest heart of anyone we've known and a smile and laughter that could brighten anyone's day. She loved people unconditionally with no judgments but rather with kindness, empathy, and compassion. If anyone was in need, she would give the shirt off her back and/or a place to rest their head. She had a thoughtful giving heart and always came bearing gifts with love. Most of all, she gave her time... her presence, her listening ear, a place at her table to sit, drink & chat... to giggle, laugh, and shoot the breeze. Her most beloved gifts were her children and grandchildren - she devoted her life fully, unconditionally, and with no return expectations to her family. She had a unique and special bond with her 8 siblings and was full of laughter and smiles whenever they were near. She, and her one true love, Bob, have been faithful to their vows they made on September 15, 1973 and by each other's side throughout the good and the bad, in good health and poor, for 43 years. Cindy was strong in her faith and put all her trust in God. Despite our broken hearts, we are grateful to know that she is at peace and amongst her dearest family members up in heaven. Her family would like to express their sincerest gratitude for prayers, support, and love sent on behalf of Cindy. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Evon; step-father, James DeSanty; mother, Mary Carey DeSanty; brothers, Earl Evon Jr, and Sean Evon; and sister, Susanne Davis. Cindy is survived by her husband, Robert Mulready; children, Bridget Mulready (Jorge) Lopez, and Robert Mulready Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany Mulready, Jorge Lopez II, Shane Lopez, Hannah-mae Mulready, Elija Lopez, and Noah Mulready; her sister, Patricia (Dean) Shelton, Frances (Edward) Harrity, Rebecca (Mark) Scalzi; brothers, Andrew (Debbie) Evon, and Charles (Dot) Evon; and widow of Earl Evon Jr., Barbara Evon. Florida services will be held on September 24, 2016 at 11am at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 200 N. Orange Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236. A celebration of life reception will be immediately following the mass service at Peridia Golf and Country Club; 4950 Peridia Blvd E, Bradenton, FL 34203. A second church mass will be held for Connecticut family and friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 50 Fairmont Pl, Shelton, CT 06484, with a celebration of life reception held at a location to be later announced.
