Daisy Edwards, 85, of Sarasota passed away on May 24, 2014.
Born in Sarasota on August 27, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Elsie Hancock, brother, James Hancock; husband, Eston Edwards; daughter, Deborah Brogdon and nephew, Morgan Hancock.
She is survived by her daughter, Tricia Hudspeth; son, Darryl Brogdon, her partner, Billie Horton; her sisters, Jarvis Blackwell and Loretta Deloach and brother, Murdoch Hancock; grandchildren, Chad (Emily) Brogdon, Casey Hudspeth, Colby (Vada) Hudspeth; great grandchildren, Hunter Brogdon, Leonard, Sadie and Emmett Hudspeth; nieces and nephews, Pam, Jenny, Jeff, Gina, David, Jim and Gayle and many great nieces and nephews.
She was a decendant of the first Sarasota settlers and proud of her heritage. She was the owner/operator of Lollipop Lane Child Care on Cattlemen Rd for many years.
Daisy was an excellant cook. She was quick to smile and she loved to laugh.
Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.
