Dear Becker Family,
I offer my deepest condolences upon hearing the news of Dan's passing. I am an employee at Long Island University (C.W. Post College). In 2019, I had the privilege of meeting Dan during an alumni visit to Florida, and this encounter marked the beginning of a cherished connection. Subsequently, I had the pleasure of visiting with him on multiple occasions.
My time with Dan was always filled with enriching conversations, where he shared his wonderful memories of C.W. Post College. He held a special place in our institution's history as a member of the inaugural graduating class. I had been eagerly anticipating his return to New York, as it would have allowed him to partake in our Homecoming festivities and other events.
Regrettably, my attempts to reach out to him in recent times went unanswered, which deeply concerned me. Dan was not just an alumnus; he was someone I considered a dear friend and one of my closest alumni connections. Please accept my sincerest sympathies during this difficult time.
