Dan Conway affectionately known as “Dad” and “Poppy/Grampy”, 86, originally from Hamden, Connecticut passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, just 17 days after his beloved wife of 65+ years, Joan Conway.
While it’s comforting to know they are together again, he is already missed by their 4 children and their spouses: Karen (& Steve) DiCapua, Gayle Conway, Kevin (& Lori) Conway and Tracey (& Dave) Muffs.
Dan loved sports, specifically the Red Sox, Bruins, NY Giants, UConn basketball and the Daytona 500. Despite his wife’s love of cooking, he had a simple pallet, his favorites being a burger with just the bun and cheese pizza.
His eight grandchildren: Cortney, Jessica, Felicia, Emily, Stephen, Sean, Olivia & Kaitlyn will remember him for his kindness, unwavering support and immense love for his family. Memories of him will forever be shared with his 6 great-grandchildren: Colin, Isla, Ethan, Leo, Luca & Harvey.
