He was born on May 26, 1954 in Bartow, Florida to Leland P. and Lois M. Lamb.
David was a 1979 graduate of the Bible Baptist College. He was a United States Army Retiree serving 20 years as Staff Sergeant, and was a United States Post Office mail carrier.
Davis loved to fish and maintained aquariums. He loved to garden; and he loved to sing in the church choir where he enjoyed soloing.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Lois Lamb; a brother, Gilbert Lamb, and a sister, Linnet Lamb.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia J. Lamb; two sons, Jeremy D. Lamb (Paulina) and Matthew A. Lamb; two grandchildren, Sofia Lamb and Nadia Lamb; a brother, Bruce Lamb and a sister, Gloria Danley.
Services will be held at Colonial Oaks Baptist Church, 6901 Bee Ridge Rd. Sarasota, FL 34241 on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
Burial inurnment with full military honors will be private at Sarasota National Cemetery.
