One year ago today , we lost our dear friend Dean . Time goes on and so many memories of past makes us smile. 
He is missed and cherished.

Dean lived at Windward Isle Mobile Home Park and served on the Board of Directors as their Finance Director for 17 years.
He took his volunteer job serious and always made time to help anyone who needed direction or guidance. He loved his wife, Martha Jane as they spent 62 years together. They had many good times with the people from the Park, as well as friends they met in their lifetime. He was a Mason and an Air Force veteran and carried the values he learned until his last day. 

He loved his favorite teams; Ohio State and the Dallas Cowboys. He would chat with Debbie, his daughter on Ohio States game plan, and would talk to his son, Jeff on the Cowboys strategy.
His golf favorite was Tiger Woods and he enjoyed watching basketball as well. 

He was the “official” candy distributor at Halloween and enjoyed seeing the children dressed in their costumes. He loved strawberry Blue Bell ice cream. Debbie would call him up and tell him where it was on sale and he would rush out as soon as he could to pick up a gallon. He enjoyed holidays, fireworks, dancing and celebrating milestones. He was good at Uno. He was a Kansas City BBQ judge and loved eating the ribs and pulled pork. He watched movies with us and especially liked Clint Eastwood. 

He had a boundless energy, yet always had time to relax and talk. Most of all, I remember he loved Frank Sinatra. Dean wanted to live to age 90, like his dad. He wanted to live independently and he did. He did it his way.

Thanks for the great memories, you are deeply missed.

Dean was a 67 year member of Hebron Masonic Lodge #116. He would often visit the Lodge when he would be back in Ohio. He was born in Jacksontown Ohio , about 5 miles from our lodge building.  We share in sympathy with his family as we mourn the loss of our Brother.   Tom Rodgers, Secretary

I came to WWIsles in 2011, and Dean was the first person I met.  How authentic he was.  He made me feel so welcome.  You could tell when you met  him he was a Prince among Men.  Polite, kind, generous of his time and thought.  I am hoping he is at peace.  I will remember his kind eyes and how he was held in such high esteem  by most.  I was lucky to have known him.  I will miss him.


I've known Dean since we started coming to Florida 21 year ago. We had lots of fun playing games; first Dominoes, then Joker.    He was a fine man, and had a good life.  His later years were made so much more pleasant by the loving care of Carol and Dale.  He will be missed.

Many hearts are broken for the loss of this brilliant friend of ours. Hoping God gives all our hearts what it needs to mend.
Dean was a  kind , thoughtful  and a amazing friend. He will never be forgotten and our many memories of him will be encrypted in our minds .
