On April 19th, 2021, Dennis J. Amber went to be with his Lord with his family by his side & under the compassionate care of Tidewell Hospice. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired Fire Lieutenant from the Mount Prospect Fire Department in Illinois. He always had a love for sailing, camping, woodworking, and among all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dennis is preceded in death by his loving wife Janet L. Amber, his mother Nancy Freund, stepfather Elmer Freund, his brother Larry Amber, and his beloved grandson Tyler J. (TJ) Brieschke.
Dennis is lovingly remembered by his three daughters Annette Amber-Owen (John), Charlene Starzonek (Kreg), Dana Proshka (Bryan); six grandchildren, Ryan Brieschke (Stephanie), David Peterson (Erin), Amanda Lemkuil (Evan), Mitchell Brieschke, Justin Proshka, and Nicholas Proshka; his five great-grandchildren; his brother Stanley Amber, and sister Cindy Piano.
A committal service with military honors will be held on May 1st at 12:00 pm at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL. A live stream of the service will be available by selecting the "Join Livestream" button below. The password to access the service is Dennis0428
