
He was born on November 3, 1933 in Morrisvale, WV. to the late Arlie and Emma (Chandler) Chambers. He was preceded in death by brothers John, Arlie (AJ), Meredith, Robert (Bob), Carl, Lowell and sisters Virginia Tulley and Linda Schalz.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 52 years Vicki Chambers (Barnett), son Dennis (Lorie) of Bradenton, Fl., daughter Carlye Barberio (Mike) of Sarasota, grandchildren; Sidney and Tyler Chambers of Bradenton, Cannon and Noah Barberio of Sarasota, brothers; Doug Chambers of Wichita Kansas and Harold Chambers of Sarasota FL. He also leaves behind many dear nephews, nieces and friends all fond in his heart.
Dennis was a member of the United States Air force where he proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a successful business owner in Chicago as well as in Sarasota. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family as well as watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He was known for his quick wit and knack for always having a great story. He was his families Patriarch and will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL. 34232 on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 SR 782, Sarasota, FL 34241 at 12:30 PM.
