Donald was born at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia on March 2, 1944. He grew up in Springfield and went to Marple Newtown High School. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University. He taught History, beginning at Junior High and then moving to High School. He spent his entire career at Interboro School District. He was also the Play Director at Interboro. Donald directed 2 plays a year for his entire career. He was very successful in his career and was loved and admired by many. Donald kept in touch through the years with many of his former students and TI alumni.
Donald married Colleen (O’Neill) on June 23, 1984. He loved his wife with all his heart and soul. They enjoyed traveling, spending time with each other, and watching the Phillies, his other great love. Donald is survived by his wife, Colleen, stepdaughter, Dianne Danner (Eric), his beautiful grandchildren Neve (6) and Jackson (4), his sister, Ruth, nephew Brian, and niece Cindy. He loved spending time with his family.
