Doris Anne Perna, age 84, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Thursday May 14, 2020. She was born January 30, 1936 in Winthrop, Massachusetts to the late Harold Frederick and Cecilia Jane (Thompson) Coburn. Doris was a graduate of Winthrop High School, Class of 1952.
Doris was a member of Sweet Adeline's and the Eagles Cub. She enjoyed singing, family gatherings and the beautiful Sarasota beaches.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd A. Perna Jr; children, William "Billy" King (Meg), Linda King and Diane Ferris (Scott); sisters, Marilyn Randall and Phyllis Moroney and grandchildren, Ryan King (Jennifer), Kyle King, Lauren Ferris, Brent Ferris and William King. Doris also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish her memories. She is preceded in death by the father of her children, William "Bill" King, brothers Willard, Paul and Harold Coburn and sister, Edythe Mannke.
A memorial service for Doris will be held Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
