Edgar was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Maegan; daughters, Carol Hicks and husband Art, Cynthia Bloom and husband Gil Dube, Patricia Clark; grandsons, Jonathan, Matthew Hicks; great-grandchildren, Maggie Anne, Carter James, Paige Elizabeth, Maizie Rose Hicks; nephew, David Bentz and wife Josie.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ. Interment in York, PA. Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sunnyside Nursing Home, Tidewell Hospice both of Sarasota, Fla. or the U.S.O in Edgar's memory.
