Edith Mae Mast, 88, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Archbold, OH, passed peacefully on August 27, 2016. She was a member of Bayshore Mennonite Church. Edith was employed for many years at Religious Book and Supply Center. She also worked for Sauder Woodworking Co., and was self-employed as a house cleaner.
Born in Medina, OH, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Hettie Buerge, her husband, Uriah Mast, and her sister-in-law, Emogene Buerge (Harold). She is survived by her children, Allen Mast (Mary Lois), Glen Mast (Linda), and Lenette Shaw (Greg), all of Sarasota, her sisters Vada Peters (Herbert) of Farmington, KY, Shirley Buerge of Sarasota, FL, and her brother, Harold Buerge (Phyllis) of Kernersville, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Janell Crowder (Brian), Sharla Smith (Ken), Carrie Mast, Karlene French (Micah), Andy Mast (Leigh), and five great grandchildren, Anderson Smith, Ezekiel French, Aria French, Clara Smith, and Lyla French.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 6 from 7PM – 9PM at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home 170 Honore Ave Sarasota, FL. Services will be Wednesday, September 7, at 10AM at Palms-Robarts. Burial to follow in Memorial Garden at Palms-Robarts.
