Ed was a loving son, father, husband and brother. Family was important to him and he was proud to be a father.
He was very spiritual and spoke often of his love for Jesus Christ.
He enjoyed photography, had a passion for music, and loved spending time at the beach. Ed was a successful mortgage banker for over 25 years. He was the previous owner of Clear Blue Pools.
Ed was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil before the family moved to northern Virginia in 1962. He graduated from George C. Marshall High School and attended George Mason College.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Barbato; children, Nick Barbato and his wife Meredith, Keith and Jessica Howard; parents, Jorge and Maria Barbato; brother, Jorge Barbato; sister, Denise Barbato; granddaughter Mackenzie Barbato.
A memorial mass will be held 10:30am, Saturday, May 26th at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2901 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, Fl.
He will be laid to rest in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
