Lerry Ay, 83, of Sarasota, FL formerly of Columbia, MD, passed away February 22nd peacefully at Ballantyne Hospital in Charlotte, NC surrounded by his family. Lerry was predeceased by his wife Karon, and parents Edward Ay, Sr. and Rheba Ay. He is survived by his son, Dustin (wife Diana) and his daughter, Kim (husband Eric Casane).
Lerry worked for IBM prior to opening a business with his wife Karon in Laurel, MD. Once retired, they relocated to Sarasota, FL in 1986. He was an avid card player & enjoyed traveling to Vegas and Biloxi for gambling and shows. In earlier years he enjoyed boating & playing golf.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 9th. Gathering begins at 11:00 AM with the service starting at 12:00 PM with reception to follow at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota 34232. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the ASPCA because of Lerry’s love for animals.
