Estelle Jeanette Hayes

September 8, 1935 – September 10, 2023

Two days after turning 88 and celebrating with her favorite chocolate cake with Fudge icing, Estelle was called home to Heaven.

Estelle was born at home in Minerva, Ohio to her parents’. Raymond Shields and Sylvia (Miller) (Shields) Kast.

Estelle Graduated from Minerva High School in 1943. During this time Estelle marched with the Minerva Band as their Head Drum Majorette. She often spoke of her enjoyment during her school days in Minerva. Her Majorette Baton is in the Minerva Municipal Museum. Estelle married W. Donald Schuck in 1957. Together they moved about the Country while Donald was in the Military. Eventually landing in Youngstown, Ohio for multiple decades. Then in 1979 the Couple decided to move to Sarasota to be closer to family. During her time in Sarasota, Estelle worked as a local CNA and volunteer with the All Children’s Hospital Guild. Estelle held membership at the First United Methodist Church for over 30 years, where she was the Wedding Coordinator for 17 years.

With Donald, Estelle had two daughters. Estelle is survived by Peggy (Stiebeling) (Schuck) Albano, Sarasota, Florida, and Holly (Schuck) Deal, spouse Brad, Germantown, Tennessee.

Estelle also enjoyed her 4 grandchildren, Jonathon Douglass Stiebeling, (Megan). Sarasota, Florida; Jesse Albano, Sarasota, Florida; Caitlyn (Deal) McCollough, (Dillon), Atlanta, Georgia; and Jasper Deal, Germantown, Tennessee. One Great Grandchild, Yessenia Albano-Gordillo, Sarasota, Florida.

Estelle is predeceased by all her siblings, Louise (Shields) Vanhorn, Alice (Shields) Reymond, Wilbur “Bill” Shields, and Fred Shields.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 7th at 11:00am, at The First United Methodist Church, 104 S. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236
