Florence was born in Baltimore, MD to Franklin Foulke and Lieuemma Uhl.
She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1950.
She was a career Legal Assistant; volunteered at the Sarasota Historical Society; and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and camping.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Rye; child, Dale Pindell; and sisters, Virginia Richmond, Betty Lou Zimbler, and Marlene Simms.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Judy) Pindell, Bruce (Ceal) Pindell, Marlene (Terry Schroeder) and Kelly (Thomas) Jensen; grandchildren, Charles (Sharron) Pindell, Matthew (Courtney) Schroeder, Stephanie (Kyle Fagan) Schroeder, Craig (Erin) Jensen, Adam (Savannah) Pindell, Denna Dady, Lindsey Love, Jessica Jensen and Nathan Kosa; and great grandchildren, Ryan Pindell, Kathryn Schroeder, Mary Jane Schroeder, Scottie Schroeder, Annabelle Fagan, Rory Fagan, Matthew Jensen, Jasmine Jensen, Emily Jensen, Joshua Jensen, Nick Pindell, Paton Pindell, Talia Pindell, Chloe Coleman, Tyler Coleman, Austin Dady, Leah Dady, Emma Brockman, Clayton Kosa and Kayla Kosa.
