Francesca comes from a Circus Family. She performed with her mother on the high wire, trapeze, tumbling, and acrobatics. Francesca fell in love with Napoleone Zamperla and married into the family. Together they performed a flying act and bare back riding before she learned other circus acts. She, Napoleone and their five children traveled all over the world with various circuses.
Francesca is survived by her loving children, Ernestina Zamperla, Mafalda Z. Zoppe, Janie Zamperla Coronas, Atos Zamperla and Ermes Zamperla; 11 cherished grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters, all of Sarasota, circus city of the world. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Napoleone Zamperla; her four siblings and grandson, Matt Zamperla Zoppe.
A memorial service will begin at 10 am on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 200 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota, FL 34236, she will be laid to rest next to her husband immediately following at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.
