Hyman graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo New York, and went on to the University of
Buffalo earning a Bachelor's degree, he also served in the Air National Guard. Hyman became an accountant and was a partner of Brock Schechter and Polakoff accounting firm in Buffalo New York.
Hyman enjoyed golf, hiking and biking, he was past president of the Temple Beth Zion, and on the board if Weinberg Campus both in Buffalo New York. He served on the board of Aviva Sarasota, and past board member of Nates Animal Honor Rescue.
Hyman is survived by his wife, Rona Lee Polakoff; his son Warren Polakoff (Tracy); and his daughter Bonnie Polakoff; his sister Hilene Salas, he also leaves three grandchildren Ryan, Nathan, and Cole.
Hyman was preceded in death by his father Bernard Polakoff and his mother Judith Polakoff.
A graveside service for Hyman will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
Hyman will be laid to rest in Palms Memorial Park Sholom Garden, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
