Temple, James William Nov. 24, 1943 - Jun. 1, 2015 James William Temple, 71, of Osprey, Fl. died on June 1, 2015. He was born on November 24, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Ruth Grubb Temple. He graduated from Linden McKinlay High School in Columbus, Ohio and was employed as a Millwright with Western Electric. James moved to the Sarasota area in 1978 where he owned and operated Val-Tem Carpet Care. In 1987, he married Valerie Wilkens Daudt. He volunteered with Friends of Oscar Scherer Park. His hobbies included boating, fishing, scuba diving, RVing and motor cycling. Survivors include his wife Valerie of 27 years; sons, Jim May (Tracy) and Todd Temple (Chris); brother, John and his wife Lana; nieces, Tonya O' Brien and Tasha Briggs; nephew Johnny Temple; and 12 great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life service will he held 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Mary's Chapel at Historic Spanish Point.
