She was a loving and strong mother, partner, friend, and healer. She earned her BSN and Masters in Nursing at Bellarmine University and went on to graduate from University of Louisville School of Medicine, specializing in Family Medicine. She was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Sarasota. She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Pennington Rigdon; father, Herman Rigdon; and son, Lorne Gagel.
She is survived by her partner Diane K. Miller, daughter Cathy Wilson, and her partner Pauline Parrish.
She was laid to rest at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park on July 3rd.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, July 22nd, 2 PM at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1031 S. Euclid Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to her church, Sarasota Orchestra or the American Cancer Society.
