Jerry grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Milford Mill High School. He then went to serve his country as a Navy Medic with the Marines in Vietnam. This started his love for medicine, and upon his return from duty he became an RN and then continued on to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Jerry loved anesthesia and was beloved by so many colleagues and patients.
In 2005, he moved to Florida with his wife Carole to be closer to his children Lisa and Craig and their growing families. Jerry worked at Center for Sight until he retired in 2017.
He is remembered for his sense of humor, bright smile and wit. Always there with a joke or quip to make you smile.
Jerry is survived by his wife and love of 55 years, Carole Linda Hoffman; his daughter, Lisa Hoffman Goldberg; his son, Craig "Alice" Alex Hoffman; as well as his sisters, Roz Malinow, Carol Welsh and brother, Randy Hoffman.
