Smith, Joe R. Sr., 81, of Sarasota, formally of Ohio, entered into rest July 4, 2011.
Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Florida May; two sons, Joe R. Jr., David E. Wilson; two daughters, Susan E. Kinney, Cindy A. Poling; two sisters, Alverna Smith, Mary Kreger; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
